TYPE APPROVAL TESTS

The sample preparation and the tests were carried out as planned by the manufacturer and documented below, in accordance with ABS applicable Rules and the requirements addressed in ASME PCC-2 Part 4/2015 standard.

All repair test samples were prepared/ by TECHNOFINK dertified installers, complying with internal procedure and the applicable requirements of ASME PCC-2 Part 4.

FIRE ENDURANCE ACORDING TO IMO A753 LEVEL 1
CRITERIA ESTABLISHED FOR TEST APPROVAL

  • Type A defect (pipes with defects up to 80% of the thickness loss for not through-wall defects): minimum burst test pressure of 3.000 psi (1.5 x maximum design pressure);
     
  • Type B defects (pipes with through-wall defects and maximum diameter defects of 2": minimum burst test pressure of 1160 psi (4 x maximum design pressure);
     
  • Type B defects (pipes with through-wall defects and maximum diameter defects of 1": minimum burst test pressure of 2.400 psi (4 x maximum design pressure);
     
  • Type B defects (pipes with through-wall defects and maximum diameter defects of 3/8": minimum burst test pressure of 3.000 psi (4 x maximum design pressure).
